WIC Championship Meet Held at Eagle Park

The cool temperatures made for some improved performances at Eagle Park Saturday morning for the Western Indiana Conference Championship. Edgewood won both the girls and boys titles. The Brown County girls placed 4th in the 11 team conference. Sadie Hiatt was the first Eagle across the line. Hiatt ran a 22:44 to place her 20th overall. Izzy Miller was the next Eagle finisher, crossing in 23:01. Not far behind Miller was her freshman teammate, Della Hitchcock. Hitchcock ran a 23:11. Livie Austin finished in 24:23 and Megan Cumberledge rounded out the Eagles scoring in 24:31. For the boys, the Eagles finished 7th of 11. Charlie Webb was 27th in 18:10. Kai Koester was 35th in 18:48. Running third man for the Eagles was Corbin Brahaum who was 36th in 18:49. Eli Wrightsman was next across the line in 18:58, and Josh Redmon rounded out the Eagles top 5 in 20:04. The Eagles will use this week to prepare for the sectional race next Saturday. Brown County will host the meet at Eagle Park.The boys race will begin at 10:30, and the girls will run at 11:15.
