Brown County 0 Columbus East 5 Singles #1 Singles - Erik Takashi (CE) def Owen East (BC) 6-2, 6-3 #2 Singles - Matthew Degner (CE) def Jon Kirchoffer (BC) 6-0, 6-0 #3 Singles - Brady Redelman (CE) def Sawyer Gore (BC) 6-2, 6-2 #1 Doubles - Talon Jessup/Max Banaschak (CE) 1-0 #2 Doubles - Ethan Bumbalough/Alex Depaul (CE) 1-0 The already short-handed Eagles were played with one less player in their loss to the Olympians of Columbus East. Our usual 4 players were cut short tonight to three players. The Eagles shuffled their line up and played all three singles positions. Missing our normal number one singles, sophomore Owen East was asked to compete and played really well. He is starting to develop a more complete game and continues to learn how to compete and get better each match. Our doubles duo of juniors Jon Kirchoffer and Sawyer Gore split up and played numbers two and three singles. Jon played well but is still adapting to the singles game. Sawyer, playing in his first ever varsity singles match, played extremely well, but came up a few shorts short. The Eagles will take on the Patriots of Owen Valley Thursday at BCHS tennis courts in a WIC match. Coach Roush Record 2-8 (WIC 0-2)
