Golfers Drop Two in Season Opener

The Eagle golfers fell to Martinsville High School and host Indian Creek High School in a tri-match Tuesday, April 9, at Tameka Woods Golf Course. The Artesians, led by medalist Xander Hutton's 39, recorded a 161 to take top honors. Indian Creek shot a 186 for second place, and the Eagles were seven strokes back with a 193 to finish third. Senior Clay Austin led the Eagles with a 42, while junior Wesley Arndt was just a couple strokes behind him with a 44. Other BCHS scores: Liam Cassiday 53, Jon Kirchhofer 54, Will Hiatt 59, Cord Smith 62, Colbie VanZuiden 66, and Brandon Saechao 69. The Eagles host Hauser High School Wednesday, April 10, at 4:30. This is a rescheduled match that was canceled last Thursday due to inclement weather. Brown County is home again Thursday, April 11, in a tri-match with Edgewood High School and Owen Valley High School.
