Eagles Show Promise in Contest with #8 South Putnam

The Eagles traveled to South Putnam on Friday to take on the #8 ranked South Putnam Eagles. While BC came up short, the final score was not indicative of how the Eagles played. South Putnam took advantage and scored on short fields 3 times and returned 2 special teams kicks for scores. The BC Eagles forced 2 takeaways on the night, both by Sophomore Ben Wagler, and controlled the ball for most of the 3rd quarter on a 16 play drive that ended in 6 points. Offensively the Eagles were led statistically by their Sophomore class. Noah Lewis threw for 259 yards and 2 TDs. Kody Shugars had 7 catches for 122 yards and a TD. Ben Wagler added 8 catches for 79 yards and a TD. Landon Scott had 4 catches for 16 yards.
