In just their second outing of the season, the Brown County High School lady golfers trimmed 28 strokes off their previous team score but still fell to the Bloomington South Panthers 195 to 221 at Stone Crest Golf Course in Bedford. The Eagles were led by senior Chloe Poling who carded a 48 and junior Caitlynn Lookebill who finished with a 53. Other BCHS scores: Cami Keaton 58, Maggie Gredy 62, Jazmyn Kolacz 69, and Nevaeh Caito 69. The Panthers' Lyla Haugh posted a 42 to take medalist honors. "We saw some good swings, some good shots, and some good decision making today, but there is still very much work ahead of us," said Eagle co-coach Brad Baughman. The Eagles play Saturday, August 23 in the Western Indiana Conference championship at Forest Park Golf Course in Brazil. Paired with Edgewood and Northivew, the Eagles will tee off at 9:00 A.M. The Eagles have never won the conference tournament but have had a couple runner - up finishes in recent years.
