Coach Roush had to shuffle the line up slightly as one of his players became ill before the match started. Jax Burt playing at #1 singles was nursing a sore shoulder but fought hard in his match against a very good player in Chase Brock. Once again #2 singles player freshman Bryan Teague had the challenge to play a senior who had a lot more on court experience. As he traverses this season he has gotten better and Coach Roush expects that will continue especially against someone less seasoned. Freshman Nicklaus Arndt playing again at #3 singles was in every point and came up a little short. His second set was much improved as he made adjustments. Our doubles team of Jack Keener and Nolan McFall pushed their opponent, a junior and senior and came within a few points to force a first set tie-break. They were in all the games in the second set, but just fell a little short. Jax Anderson filled in for an injured player and his partner Logan Peck kept improving as their match proceeded. The Eagles will continue to accept each match as a learning opportunity and come away with some more match experience. The Eagles will host Bedford North Lawrence on Thursday at 5 PM at the Eagles Nest. Coach Roush
