The Eagles traveled to South Putnam High School to play the Eagles and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win. The final point came down to the #1 singles match. Jax Burt fought back to force a tie break in the first set and won it (7-4). This took some of the wind out his opponent's sails and he came through with a solid 6-2 second set vwin to secure the third point for the Eagles. The same can be said about the #1 doubles team of Jack Keener and Nicklaus Arndt, fighting back to win their first set 6-4 and then cruising to a 6-1 second set victory. Shortly after the #1 doubles win, Nolan McFall completed his 6-2, 6-2 victory at #3 singles. Our #2 doubles team came roaring back in their second set only to fall 5-7, but played some really good tennis. #2 singles player, Bryan Teague had some early struggles, but rebounded to fight hard in his second set, despite the score.
